The Lundehund is a member of the Spitz family that originated in Vaerog and Rost in northern Norway where it was used to hunt puffins from nests on steep cliffs. This dog has two distinctive features that other dogs do not have. These features include; six toes and two dewclaws on each foot and joints in the nape of the neck.
